Only speaker I'm interested at the moment is Mark Thomann

DIdn't know Mark Thomann is suing Anheuser-Busch and they are going after the Spuds Mackenzie trademark that Mark slapped a Trademark on for Dog food stuff.

http://adage.com/article/cmo-strategy/controls-spuds-mackenzie-dog-center-legal-fight/308304/

Unless he can coerce a quick settlement, Anheuser-Busch can outspend and outlawyer his small company.

I think Mark Thomann may have bitten off more than he can chew.

Interesting on how a specialized video game convention(ColecoVision) fared. Well, nothing. There was the JagFest(again, super specialized), which thankfully grew into the massive Midwest Gaming Classic that gets thousands of attendees.

Maybe they could have got the anime folks in with the Robotech angle, but apparently not. I think even BotCon(a Transformers convention) netted more attendees.

Don't over-specialize, I guess.

In other news, my Growing Pains reunion con(BonerCon) won't be happening this year. Robin Thicke won't get back to me.

There was nothing "Colecovision" about this so-called Colecovision expo, though.

Actually this is my favorite post from Coleco Holdings today...

While this picture was taken before the show opened, I'm sure it didn't look much different later on in the day. ;)

Alf could not take it anymore........

I had planned to go to represent the ColecoVisions Podcast and The Toy Tomb Podcast. Kind of glad I did not invest time and cash on this, I should have gone to Game On Expo out in Mesa AZ like I originally planned on doing before this show was announced last year :( Welp, will go to Game On next year :)

no Adam West this year.

Free admission if your name is Adam!

Not really, but AdamCon is a completely different animal compared to this. These years, it's more a simple gathering of long-time friends, with the same people coming every year, plus a few people dropping by for a quick visit just because they happen to live relatively nearby. There are no vendors, no push to sell anything, it's all very simple, friendly and informal. It's really fun as a social gathering, and lots of people there are tech-savvy enough to hold any type of conversation about ADAM hardware and software, but if you're expecting more than that (like something with more of a commercial vibe) you may walk away slightly disappointed. Me, I like AdamCon as it is. :)

I have always wanted to go to an ADAMcon, but never have really gotten the chance.
