TPR
Just keep in mind that you are dealing with *real people* behind that keyboard of yours, and you can't know or understand where people are at mentally. I have also dealt with these *real people* beyond the keyboard, so I have a pretty good understanding.

thevnaguy
And the fact that he's spamming other Coleco pages with his hypocritical bullshit. Thankfully he's banned from the ColecoVision Lunatics group which is really the only active CV Facebook group out there. msg-45996-0-02239900-1500478056.jpg I kind of like this group as well for Colecovision talk. https://www.facebook.com/groups/ColecoVisionRetroGamers/?ref=br_rs then there is the ColecoVisions Podcast Chatbox https://www.facebook.com/groups/colecovisions/ And the podcast itsef https://www.facebook.com/ColecoVisionsPodcast/?ref=br_rs Been very lax on promoting the pages, not so good at the social media stuff or have the time. So thankful for the Lunatics page and Colecovision Fan page to get my coleco fix and have stuff to share to the podcast page

Even Funnier since Harmony Gold ( Robotech ) is in a huge legal mess over Macross, which has ban tons of games, movies, and toys to the US with Trademark abuse. The community hatred was so strong they had to remove their forums and cancel their Kickstarter Robotech Academy https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1381502542/robotech-academy/posts Here is a article on this legal mess http://kotaku.com/5990702/why-you-havent-seen-any-new-macross-in-the-west-for-nearly-15-years
TPR
Actually the best part about this is that you have to *HOPE* that the shells they are going to use for their minis are of decent quality and cheap enough when the go on clearance (you can pretty much pick up a CV Flashback for next to nothing now) so that you can gut them and put a Raspberry Pi filled with GOOD games in them! I'm also not holding my breath that they will end up being good quality shells. But if they are, it will be great to see stuff like this made out of them...

enoofu
Harmony Gold who made Robotech and pal of Coleco is now Suing MechWarrior Online and the upcoming Battletech for copyright infringement Full legal filing https://www.unitedstatescourts.org/federal/wawd/242820/1-0.html Edited July 29, 2017 by enoofu
Ikrananka
Harmony Gold who made Robotech and pal of Coleco is now Suing MechWarrior Online and the upcoming Battletech for copyright infringement So another so-called "company" that is in essence just a patent troll with dubious rights to the IP they claim is theirs. No wonder Cardillo is associated with them. I sincerely hope they fail miserably in this latest legal endeavour of theirs, and not just because I am a KS backer of the new BattleTech game by Harebrained Schemes. The legal section of the Wikipedia page for Harmony Gold makes interesting reading https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harmony_Gold_USA#Legal_problems.
enoofu
A lot of people fear more stupid lawsuits from Harmony Gold since Sony is planning a Robotech movie and just assigned Andy Muschietti as Director. Its even sillier when a Japanese Court stated they don't own the models copyrights years ago and only have limited rights in producing toys on them and were forbidden in using them to make derivative work's
Silverfleet
The man himself was hawking his expo on FB in the Atari Collectors group this morning, specifically stating they will have "hard to find" ATARI games there. Better watch out, AtariAge!!! Don't worry, his garbage wouldn't be allowed on any of the AtariAge groups and he's blocked from the ColecoVision Lunatics group so that limits his audience quite a bit I would imagine. Let this be a lesson to Chris Cardillo that when you're a complete and total douchebag to the homebrew and collector community, they aren't going to support any of the crap you're pushing. Just imagine how things would have been different if he had chosen to been nice to everyone...

Just imagine how things would have been different if he had chosen to been nice to everyone... That Atari Collectors group doesn't seem like one of the big ones. Most of the people in there are people that just found their old Atari in their parents' attic, and people that are new to things, which makes it a PERFECT place for that guy to hawk his snake oil sideshow. Low risk and clueless audience. The AtariAge and ColecoVision Lunatics groups are exponentially bigger. Those are the ones that people flock to if they are really interested in this stuff. Even if he wasn't banned, they would know better at this point.
Omega-TI
Who ended up with the short straw? I know there was talk of sending someone to film this trainwreck and post the results on YouTube. I imagine it'll be fun to see what Cardillo's group does with 'creative editing' if they post a video too. Maybe a comparison video?

TPR
So here's another example of how stupid and shady Chris Cardillo is... It would appear that he is selling his "Coleco Expo Exclusive" copies of Sydney Hunter on eBay! http://www.ebay.com/itm/Sydney-Hunter-ColecoVision-Retro-Gaming-Expo-Exclusive-Sealed-MISB-Coleco-/292196012189 Dear Chris Cardillo - Your "Coleco Expo Exclusive" copy of the game is no longer "exclusive" to the Expo if you are selling it on eBay!!! So now that's false advertising to those people whom you have sold copies to that think the only way to get them is at the Expo. Remember folks, don't buy from shady people like Chris Cardillo. Buy your copy directly from CollectorVision instead. Here is their listing on eBay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Sydney-Hunter-Colecovision-Limited-Edition-NEW/332325824459 OR you can buy from http://www.collectorvision.com
