cypher007 Posted June 2, 2017 Share Posted June 2, 2017 (edited) bought a light sixer off ebay, which did have bad clour bleed on the RF anyway wasn't to worried as was going to fit a video mod. so ive recapped it, including the mylar cap, and put a new voltage regulator in. it seem fine other than when I turn it on from cold even using the svideo out, which is a pal longhorn mod, I get black and white output for about the first 30 seconds or so. then its in colour for the rest of the time. I thought initially it was a bad b/w colour switch, as it just happened to go into colour mode at the same time I toggled the switch. but I'm guessing it was just coincidence. RevEng Posted June 2, 2017 Share Posted June 2, 2017 Just a guess, but it sounds like the colorburst crystal (or nearby component) is a bit out of spec, and after a bit of warm-up the frequency shifts to where the TV accepts it as colorburst.
