JAMOUT2 for the Flashback Portable

post-30777-0-21861700-1496429096.jpg

Jam out on your Atari Flashback Portable! Jamout turns your handheld Atari into a musical instrument where you have 9 different instrument patterns and sequences that you can resequence to create unique musical arrangements.

Basic Gameplay:

Push the joystick in any direction or leave it centered. How long you wait will influence the sequences you are stringing together. Press the button to decrease the tempo and change the envelope - this will allow you to create different sounds and change the instruments, there are 12 settings that cycle.

Playback and Record:

Select - Plays back your musical creation, turns the screen purple during playback (no input is accepted during playback)

Reset - Clears memory, turns the screen blue and a new recording starts immediately.

Red screen: Memory is full, but you can still Jam on :)

The video shows a song being created and played back, try JAMOUT2 and see what you can create! :)

For musicians or anyone who wants to have more fun with this program, the 9 pattern sequences can be redefined to whatever you wish in the chiptunes section of the program - the Flashback BASIC listing for JAMOUT2 is attached and easy to experiment with!
