mr_me
I just stumbled on this in youtube. In this video there is a few seconds of the Intellivision IMI Tester MTE 100. It is being described by someone very sharp and knowledgeable at about 1:20. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=k3XKcTZ1L_Y What does IMI and MTE srand for? Intymike
Nice video, the IMI suitcase, Running Man M&Ms, the Intellivision veterans and in the background plays The British IBM.
+intvsteve
David Warhol is the silver-haired gentleman, and that's Non-Virtual-Will from the Intellivisionaries podcast in the background. Not sure what IMI and MTE are abbreviations for. My guess for MTE is Mattel Electronics. The MTE-201 is the test cartridge we all know and love. That leaves IMI... Ideas? +Lathe26
MTE doesn't stand for Mattel Electronics. I think it stands for Manufacturing Test Equipment, but I am away from my notes at home. I wrote down what IMI stands for as well. If I remember when I get home and someone else doesn't reply beforehand, I'll post it in about a week.
+intvsteve
Sounds good... What about: MTE : Manual Test Equipment IMI : Initial Maintenance Inspection ?
Humblejack
Just adding a bit of info that still does no answer the topic question but is something to think about. Note the MTE 201 part number on the list and the Service Center Bulletin refers to the use of the cart on Intellivision II units. Sorry they are in PDF. +nurmix
Ah yes, CGE 2014. That was a fun item to smuggle into Vegas in the back of my GTI... Sent from my Keyboard Component using Jack's Conversational Intelli-talk cassette

+Lathe26
Not quite a necro-bump but not quite a live-bump either. Let's just call my post a coma-bump. Anyways, IMI stands for "Incoming Material Inspection".
