Battery Backed SRAM?

Was thinking if it would be worth the effort to setup 64K BB SRAM. Hiassoft has an 512K RAM extension with backup, and would make sense for a RAM disk. But for just the main RAM would the OS initialize most of it at boot?

Not too sure what you are doing, but the OS initializes all of the main RAM on a cold boot (power on or forced) and only a small portion on warm boot (press RESET).

Thanks, was thinking that might be the case. As the XEL uses a 64K SRAM was wondering if it would be worthwhile to add a DS1210. There's also the U1MB and how it handles the system RAM to consider. Will have to dig deeper into the Pros and Cons :)
