CPUWIZ
Hello, here are a couple pictures of a 7800 devkit prototype, functioning condition unknown, BIOS is missing (Mitch has a ROM I think). I am mostly leaving this here for archival purposes, but if anyone is interested in this "display piece", shoot me a PM with an offer. I have a final one framed hanging on the wall already. I also have a 7800 - 2600 only devkit, I believe I posted pics of that before. Enjoy, -R
CPUWIZ
I am sure Mitch won't mind, here is a link to his devcard page -> http://www.atari7800.org/manuals/Devcard.htm First link has a picture of the "final" devkit (Rev.1), if you want to see differences. +xucaen
Wouldn't it be cool if someone could make a schematic from that and build new units from it?
SIO2
Wouldn't it be cool if someone could make a schematic from that and build new units from it?Might be cool but I don't know why anybody would do it today. There are better options unless you really want to write 7800 games on an Atari ST. I have a 1040st setting right next to my 7800. I would still rather develop on the PC and test in emulation first. +Mitch
If you clicked on the link you would see that there is a schematic for it. But as SIO2 said, there really isn't any demand for it. Mitch

Mitch Plus, my devkit is way cooler. Works on Windows XP/7/10 & Mac OSX.
CPUWIZ
Here is a pic of the disks I got from a developer 15+ years ago, I never looked at the contents of the personal disk.
Jinks
That is really cool. The personal disk could be ????? Or maybe ??????? Too exciting! Probably just a CRC error. Are all those programs publically available or usefull to "modern-retro" programmers?
+Mitch
Could be a rare proto! Mitch
CPUWIZ
Could be a rare proto! Mitch Do you want the disks? I also have that developers actual ST (not sure where it is ATM) he used (and the devkit obviously). Also a manual, which I haven't looked at in forever, I remember it having personal notes in it. CPUWIZ
You need to backup that disk. Right, I also need to find and backup my own shit. I still have an unreleased, unknown Amiga prototype on disks, which I wrote with a friend, and I also did all the graphics for it. It's a 32 color scroller, with a rotating ship, full blitter and copper madness. We abandoned it, when we left Germany. All those disks should also have source to a couple of games I wrote for the Amiga in the mid 80's. Should also have my debug Kickstart I wrote (hex-monitor built in). Ahh, Amiga days, I can haz 68000.
Andromeda Stardust
Back that crap up. It could be gold. It could be crap. But until you make a backup copy for examination, you won't know...

Get some dough for your work from 30+ years ago and give the masses something new to play which they are sure to love.

Lynxpro
An Atari ST computer. Mitch I meant the edge connector on the board. Does that go into the ST Cartridge Slot?
+Mitch
I meant the edge connector on the board. Does that go into the ST Cartridge Slot? No, that plugs into the 7800. The top end plugs into the ST via a cable. Mitch
Mayhem
I've got a 7800 devkit on my shelves as well, will have to dig it out and take photos...
Lynxpro
No, that plugs into the 7800. The top end plugs into the ST via a cable. Mitch Oh, duh! Does it plug into the external floppy drive port or the Atari DMA HD port?
