So you think the Pro-controller is expensive?

These are (were at least, haven't looked for a while) reasonably easy to get from Japan for around $100 - 140 AU from memory. Shipping wasn't cheap and you'd need to wait a couple of months for it to arrive on a boat.... ;) Sometimes they'd be missing the occasional switch or button.

Other mates got them but I never ended up getting one for myself lol. I still want one :)

That's just stupid ...for that kind of cash, you could easily build something a lot nicer using real controls from airplanes and automobiles.

For that price, you can BUY an airplane or fast sports car...

Hyper-eye, I noticed the accepted offer too. WTF?!

True enough. I think I'd take a Tesla Model S over a plastic Xbox controller every time.

Its not all plastic though but I do wonder how many controllers are in that box and then how big is that box itself. Its not like they are small and all as seen below ( yeah that one is mine)

I got this one local no box but it works amazing. So if there is say like 10 in that box that would be one hell of a big box. I would gather though it might have 2 in there.

Yep, I have that box. SO basically what they are saying makes it valuable is that the outer box was just for shipping, protecting the retail box. Therefore you would pretty much never see that outer box because as soon as a retailer received it, they would be removing it and displaying it. Thing is, who cares about that outer box? Then cynical side of me imagines all that is in that outer box they are selling is a brick wrapped in polystyrene :-D You will never know for sure until you open it up and thus render it the same as every other controller that only costs hundreds of dollars.

I must set mine up again...

Or they could VGA grade it and sell it for quadruple the cost or more. People used to grade and flip for instant profit but the graded market is starting to tank, as people simply aren't buying graded loot anymore. Ridiculous!

Someone seems to be designing 8 button pads for the Jaguar. However they seem to be omitting the keypad which just doesn't make sense to me.

If you don't like the keypad I get that. But unfortunately tons of games work really well with it and use it a lot. I don't know why they just at least try to redesign the keypad into something more to their liking but to omit it completely it's just gonna be half of a really good idea.

Their argument is that the box is unique to the controller because the serial number is on each part (shipping box, display box, controller) and so it is only complete with that matching shipping box. I don't buy it. The shipping box doesn't display well like the inner box does. Collector's want to display their valuable item.

I didn't realize there ever was a market for VGA graded items. I always thought they were just way overpriced games in a plastic case. It never occurred to me to actually buy one.
