Ultimate Pong for Intellivision Review

Recommended Posts

Syzygy was the name of the company and the game they produced was "Computer Space". It was a remake of an old computer game that goes back to the 1960s.

You can't talk about the history of pong without mentioning Ralph Baer and the Magnavox Odyssey. Mattel also had Brickout, a pong like game for one person back in 1981 but not released until 1998 by Intellivision Productions. It's a remake of Atari's Breakout. All these old Pong based games originally used analog paddle controllers. Edit: By 1980 people aleady had enough of pong.

Ralph and the Odyssey were featured in the history booklet "Avoid Missing Ball for High Score" included with copies of Ultimate Pong.
