Stormtrooper of Death
BAD NEWS: I am forgetting things. Today, i didnt know my Facebook pasword nor my e-mail pasword, while I use the pasword every day more than 5 years. Also sometimes when I went to the toilet and then go back to my computer, 5 minutes later i cant remember if i actually went to the toilet. sometimes i dont remember words for ordinary things like a basket or newspaper. Korsakov / Dementia ? I might even forget my family and friends... but do my my dear friends and family remember me ? Korsakov / Dementie ? Dadelijk vergeet ik mijn geliefden ook. Of zijn ze mij ondertussen al vergeten ? I will talk with my doctor about having a memory test in the hospital. I also have headaches since 3 months. I fear the bad things. Wish me luck.
Roydea6
Very sorry to hear this my older brother also declined somewhat like this for about 4 years now.
Bryan
That must be frightening. I notice that I mix up words a bit more as I age, but I'm about as forgetful as I've ever been. I hope things go well with the doctor.
+MrFish
I had some health problems that were accompanied by headaches about 5 years ago. I made great improvements by changing my diet and exercise habits. There's always hope. Stay as positive as you can Richard.

ricortes
Sorry to hear this. I've had number of family members and friends with similar symptoms. This is going to sound odd, hopefully it is something other then Dementia/Alzheimer's. Even a mild stroke is less frightening then Alzheimer's. Madi
I hope things will get better soon. It is very difficult, painful and frightening to go through such feelings. But have faith in tomorrow, trust in yourself and always keep a truthful smile. madi
Mclaneinc
I have an old friend in his 70's and he has the on set of Dementia, he uses his computer and does odd stuff like queue 20,000 downloads in newsleecher and start getting them and swears he didn't do it, its got so bad I need to use Teamviewer to fix issues he has like deleting shortcuts etc because he simply cannot understand what I mean and wanders off while trying to fix stuff over Skype. Its also what took my mum back in 2001 and my mother in law is also in the early stages of it. I'm sorry to hear you are having memory problems but do see your doctor asap as stress can a. cause memory issues and b. make the dementia worse (if that is what it is). The more you stress the harder it gets to remember stuff, I suffer from stress and depression and have days where I forget simple words but in my case it is those two items causing it. Also, as MrFish rightly says it can be other things that cause stuff like this so its imperative that you see the doctor and explain all the problems no matter how mundane they sound to you. All of us are rooting for you and wish you all the best, keep us informed, we don't like to see a comrade in distress!! Paul...

+mytek
I hope this is just a temporary issue and that you get better soon. As MrFish pointed out, it could be something missing in your diet that the brain needs. I've heard that Coconut is a great brain food - Michael
Xebec
Best Wishes! There are quite a lot of things that can cause this -- please go take care of yourself, and see the doctor. If you or your family have doubts about what the Doc says, and you have the opportunity - go get a second opinion. As others have said, look at your whole health - diet, exercise, what you're exposed to (no open paint cans in the house?), are you drinking enough water, etc.. Please take care and we are certainly hoping for the best for you!! Edited July 13, 2017 by Xebec

Keatah
Yup. I have an ever-growing text file listing all my passwords. That's to be expected in this day and age.
Mclaneinc
I admit I use Last PASS for all my sites, its free and safe, I know most of mine but I always forget Facebook, I don't actually use facebook as a social media thing, I just use it as an easy way to logon to other sites. Fred_M
Sorry to hear this . Go to the doctor soon Richard. All the best! ===== Beterschap Richard! Ik zou zeker snel naar de dokter gaan, het kan ook wel eens een bijwerking zijn van medicijnen.
+slx
Hope a doctor will find something to help you. One basic precaution is to drink enough water as dehydration can be a factor in dementia, too.

My father has Dementia, but he's 74 (and it's the onset). He experienced strokes and seizures first. It says your 45. Your symptoms are far more advanced at this age. Have you been in an accident or head injury. And what does this mean "I might even forget my family and friends... but do my my dear friends and family remember me ?: I've seen that line somewhere before. That line seems strange. chevymad
Had similar issues several years ago. I actually forgot how to sign my name on a credit slip. That was the last straw before I saw a doc. Brainscan determined microseizures in my right temporal lobe. Put me on antiseizure meds. Took them for a couple years, then new insurance company went through all the testing again and took me back off them. Been pretty good since. While I don't have the best memory, I haven't forgotten big things like that. Hopefully your outcome is as good!
