According to the Readme.txt file it contains files in Gerber format: "500350.1 TOP SIDE IN GERBER FORMAT 500350.3 BOTTOM SIDE IN GERBER FORMAT 500350.SM1 SOLDER MASK TOP SIDE IN GERBER FORMAT 500350.SM3 SOLDER MASK BOTTOM SIDE IN GERBER FORMAT" Yet none of these files appear to be in actual Gerber format. What gives? Is there a way to view the files in 500350.1? Can these be turned into actual Gerber format? This is what I would expect to see for Gerber format: Top layer: .GTL Bottom layer: .GBL Solder Stop Mask top: .GTS Solder Stop Mask Bottom:.GBS Silk Top: pcbname .GTO Silk Bottom: pcbname .GBO NC Drill: pcbname .TXT Mechanical layer : .GML - Wolf Edited July 23, 2017 by Wyluli Wolf Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
+nanochess Posted July 24, 2017 Share Posted July 24, 2017 Interesting files. The RPT file contains the sizes for the drills located in DRL file. The .1 .3 .S1 .S3 .SM1 .SM3 .SP1 and .SP3 and .GND files are Gerber files, and the USR file contains the mappings from D?? tools to pad sizes and line sizes. Surely should be distributed between cooper, solder mask, silk layers, ground cooper and I cannot figure right now the other. The .XY file marks the positions for auto-mounting the pieces. I sent these to a manufacturer out of curiosity. They said they were not in the proper format and could not be used.... +Stephen Moss Posted July 25, 2017 Share Posted July 25, 2017 I had a quick look on online and .GBL are supposed to be Gerber files in the RS-274X format (I did not think that format a was around back) and suggests that LogoMaker and Altium designer could be use to open them and another source that suggests Autodesk Eagle, Viewplot and Gerbv can open them. I just found two sources which say that 274X format was not release until 1998 so the files are probably in the older RS-274D format thus you may have trouble viewing them as most viewers will probably only support the more modern 274X and ODB++ (released in 1997, ODB relased in 1995 was probably too late to be used for the Jag). 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Thank you for this info. I think you are correct that these are in the old RS-274D format. I did some digging and it looks like the old files can be converted.
