JustinMSalvato
Does anyone have a list of the various ROM sizes (memory capacity) of classic video game cartridges, preferably in bytes? Looking for Channel F, Intellivision, NES is probably an easy look-up, etc.. I was hoping for a list. Can anyone point me to one? Thanks! phoenixdownita
Oh gosh .... maybe download SmokeMonster ROM pack for the Nt Mini and check how big the ROMs are for the classic systems it supports .... https://mega.nz/#F!dBcHTLJA!4E1fHpN1gZ9drbi5JEfUCw!sUd2BaSZ For example the Chan F has ~6K being the largest on that pack, 2K being the most common size (6144 bytes and 2048 bytes). IntV is missing from that pack but I am sure you can find a goodset/nointro to serve the same purpose.
mr_me
The largest Intellivision cartridge from the 1980s is at least 24 k-words (10-bit roms so about 30 kB). I've read it would be possible to have 50k directly addressable. And if you do rom bankswitching a cartridge could have hundreds of k-words or more. Video
2600 goes from 2k to 32 k, though some recent homebrew go to 64k.
