Can a C64 joystick be adapted to TI?

I have a couple i can mess around with.

I have a couple i can mess around with.

 

If I recall correctly the C64 joysticks are just standard Atari pinouts.  If so you can get an Atari Joystick Adapter board at arcadeshopper.com for the TI.

 

You buy one pre-assembled or just the bare circuit board.
