SoundGammon
I have a few different backgammon sets of different colors. I was wondering if a hack of backgammon for the 2600 could be done? Like to see brown/tan table with black/red pieces if possible! Thanks!
Nukey Shay
The original game uses a color table @ $FB7A (or $FB77 PAL): NTSC PAL Description $FB7A $FB77 Movement Cursor $FB7B $FB78 player 1 $FB7C $FB79 player 2 $FB7D $FB7A bar & borders $FB7E $FB7B green spaces $FB7F $FB7C blue spaces The 6 bytes following those (@$FB80 or $FB7D) are used when B&W is switched. Note that with any changes done to the original games, you'll need to reset the controller options back to paddles when using an emulator (since the checksum will no longer match the original games).
