Found a Halloween cartridge in a lot I just bought

It plays just like Halloween and the labels all look legit. However, it is shaped like the standard Atari cartridge and doesn't have the ridges at the top as I have seen on all the others I could find online.

Ok so the guts are Halloween and they just printed a label to look like the original? There are a few Genesis cartridge reproductions I have seen in the lot as well so I'm not surprised this isn't real. Too bad but at least the game plays like the real one.

No the board inside it isn't a legit Halloween either. Nothing about it is legit. The shell is even the wrong shell for Halloween. As far as having a cheap copy to play with it's just fine but it holds no value as a collectible.

That's what I meant...I don't know anything about how these are programmed so I'm guessing there are ways to throw. rOM into a blank chip and put it into any blank Atari cartridge? Seems like a lot of trouble for such an obvious fake.

 

Had it not been for the shape of the cartridge I wouldn't have known so I'm wondering why they even bothered to use the wrong cartridge. What a waste of time.
