Casey
I was perusing the owner's manual for Miner 2049'er, and came up with a few questions. The manual for the cartridge tells you to plug the cartridge in, then turn on the TI 99/4A and the game will show up as 2 on the system menu. Did these types of games use the same I/O space in the memory map as the normal cartridge port? Could you plug in this game and and normal cartridge at the same time and see both cartridges on the menu?
+Ksarul
Side port cartridges were in the same space as the memory expansion and also usually had some part of the cartridge in the DSR space. It needed the DSR hooks to get the menu data loaded into the right place (and coincidentally, avoided the V2.2 lockout on the cartridge port).
