And someone else in a "status update" made mention of the same phenomenon. So something's going on.. And now this thread is up to 86 views like 15 minutes later. So.. And I know it should be more, because I viewed it and I made my 2 buddies view it too. I'm thinking a post needs a reply for it to be updated, or have the counts displayed as other than zero. I bet a reply to the thread will suddenly indicate "1" reply, and the views will jump to the correct number of views. --- going to test that.. --- And boom! It now shows 1 reply and 33 views, instantly updated as fast as I could refresh. So it looks like maybe both fields have to be non-zero, or there has to be a reply. --- Yes. That is interesting and not something I've noticed before. If that's the case, I'd certainly call it a bug in the forum software. If not real ones, then ones that stem from not knowing how the new stuff works. It's actually been out for a while now, so it's pretty stable at this point and it's unlikely we'll see much in the way of bugs that haven't already been reported and fixed. I just haven't upgraded it here yet as it's a huge amount of work for me to perform such a major upgrade. I'll likely have to spend a week full-time working on the migration. I already have it running on another server so I could confirm that I can upgrade the forum without issues, but the entire forum theme needs to be redone, and I have to install various third-party modifications to replace some functionality for mods I have installed presently (as these also had to be rewritten). But I do expect many messages asking how to do things that may have changed in some fashion. I came to the same conclusion as Keatah did, view counts won't update until someone has replied to your first post. It could be a combination of what Albert wrote above, that perhaps once a month the database is rebuilt with updated counters, and threads with replies have their counters updated continuously.
