johncena1973
Hi guys, i just snatched this controller from a flea market for $7. Not a bad deal, all buttons are still intact. But the problem is the pin's piece is missing. So i cannot connect the controller the console's port, is there any ways to fix this issue ? Thanks
Bratwurst
You will have to cut the plug end off and wire in a new 8-pin DIN, or preferably, find a replacement cable with the plug already molded in and wire it into the controller. I've seen this happen a few times before with TG-16 controllers (I have about 6 of them at this point). For whatever reason the glue used to hold the pins and metal hood can give out from the push and pull required to insert/remove from the system's controller port, which has quite a grip. Bratwurst
Thanks a lot. Btw, do you know what brand of replacement cable do i need to find ? You should be able to use any cable that ends in a large 8-pin din male plug, I found some listings for you: https://www.ebay.com/itm/253144321717 https://www.ebay.com/itm/232306300637 https://www.ebay.com/itm/371957128507<- that has a female on the other end so it'd just be one really long extension at 12 feet You'd want a 6 foot cord at the minimum, or a 12 foot you could cut in two, then splice into the appropriate wires. The controller pinout can be image searched through google. I think I have a controller I never got around to mending so if you need help doing yours just send me a PM.
