Here are a couple scans from my recently acquired high score cart as well as a comparison with the earlier wire wrap version. The ROM dump is also different. Unfortunately the original EPROM cover is missing so the date and version are unknown.

If anyone else has one please post some pics. I know two more were sold recently.

Curt also has a pic of his high score cart on his website. http://www.atarimuse...00/hsc/hsc.html

Thanks for posting those Mitch.  Do you think these are designed for the devkit, or not?

BTW, what is the 8pin chip?  Did none of these have stickers on them?  You said he had more.

I think it was probably meant for testing not production due to the fact there are not any mounting holes and the top cart slot is mounted too low to allow a regular cart in a shell to work. The games work fine outside of the shell. Check out the pic of Curt's cart to see what I mean about the mounting holes.

I more curious about whether this ROM version is earlier or later than the one that is out there. That one was version 10.

Yes, that was my point in the other thread, I am certain this was an addition to the devcart and not a prototype.  Which is even cooler, if you ask me.  And the one you have is a V2.0, far from a prototype.

Either that or someone used the wrong connector or possibly even just mounted it wrong.

Didn't you say they were all the same?  I didn't follow that guy too closely, I had a hard time understanding what he was saying.

That looks more like a dev cart. How does or did the HSC function work with this cartridge?

That blue circle on the right hand side is actually a capasitor. This really looks like a bankswitchable sram dev cart my friend. I don't see how this could have anything to do with being a high score cart. I hope I'm wrong. I hope someone else can chime in with more information.

Sure looks like a SRAM cart for devos.  That is a narrow SRAM on the bottom, there is no cart slot and no battery.

Yeah, it looks like one of the DevOS RAM carts. I'd post a link but Eckhard's site seems to be down.

It doesn't work because you have to upload a game to it. If you have the DevOS BIOS installed in your 7800 you can upload a game from a PC that has a parallel port on it.

I have been told, that it is incomplete....it does not work
when testing it....there is no screen appearing....

That is correct, it will not show anything until the game is uploaded. You have to mod your 7800 with a different BIOS to be able to use it.

Honestly Walter, I don't think that PCB even existed when the HSC was being worked on :( I'm sorry to say that looks like a homemade dev cart. You might want to get in touch with whoever you bought it from as I think you might have purchased it under false pretenses :(

Hi Shawn

i did not pay for it.It was part of a larger trade...i looked in my notices,i did long time ago.....there were
2 boards...both incomplete...one was a devcart...incomplete
and one a HSC only early WIP....i thought it was the one i posted...but this seemed to be wrong.....so it should be
the other one.....but like i said this board is nearly
blank....only little bit is on it.....
And an info for Mitch.......
i know,how to use a devcart....i have a modded system,
Shawn did it some years ago.......and one last time...
the board i posted is WIP and does NOTHING...
Hope this is clear enough now.......
maybe i post the 2nd board later and someone can say,
what it could have been.
I also have many other 7800 related items, which i do not know what they are for...if there is interest,i can post
pictures.....maybe Mitch,Shawn or CPUWIZ know more...
greetings Walter
