WAVE 1 GAMES

Recommended Posts

Refresh my memory sweetie, what features did I promise that aren't there? When are bats crashing into the ground? And I don't recall ever doing any roller skater sprites.

Bats are capable of flying below the horizon. Just because the ground is visible in the POV doesnt mean they are literally touching or crashing into the ground. Anyone with a brain can get whats going on in the scene.

You are digging pretty deep

I don't need to dig deep, I already provided multiple screenshots of how buggy your "game" is. You said nothing about what CJ and I posted because you know you have no response. It's another bug-filled release. As for the roller skater, refer to WelshWorrier's list of your coding errors. If you don't see what we're referring to...I honestly don't know what to tell you because 2 people that watched a 4 minute video of your game see more problems than the developer.

Real mature way to start off your post, too. Well, actually that's quite a bit more mature than your usual all caps meltdowns around here, JEFFREY JOHNSON.

One zombie will zoom into the foreground while moving off to the left and another will zoom backward. There also has to be variations depending on where the zombies are standing depth wise. Also what if you wait to shoot the barrel until there are like 10 zombies on screen (which is gonna happen in this level btw) that's 10 different zombies flying away that need to be manipulated differently which I think will look pretty bad ass if I can pull it off right! Just think about how an explosion works and imagine 10 zombies hit by it. some will go one way, others another, some zoom forward, some zoom back, it should look pretty cool!

In the Moscow level they disappear when the barrel explodes, in the parking garage level when the car blows up (after one shot) they are blown away via your "diagonal line" special effect. Or did you just not post 10 zombies on screen being manipulated differently in your highlight reel?

Jaguar Doom style? Yeah that needs to happen too someway, perhaps with the hand grenades?

Didn't see that happen either, but again, perhaps just not in the videos.

It's also interesting to note that the same guy who made my overlays for Fast Food 64 and Frogz 64 on the Jag has been in close contact with me and has developed a gun for the game. This is a motion controlled gun and should add a little something extra to the game! There will also be support for mouse input on controller port 2. You will have the option to buy the gun separately or bundled with the game.

Where's that light gun? As of December 2017 it was already developed, will you be offering a package deal on EBay for the gun and the game? You really should mention the gun and mouse support on the box and in your EBay listing, I think that would help boost sales. Because both of those features are in there, right? Or am I digging deep again?

Nothing at the moment. But the parking deck will have cars that can explode, the grave will have hands rising out that you can shoot for extra points and bats that will fly into the screen. The warehouse will have something truly special and the forest (not seen here) will have different hazards as well. There are currently 7 different types of zombies (including Starcats zombie) not shown here, Certain zombies will be unique to certain areas and other zombies will have special abilities.

Parking lot has one car that explodes. After being shot with a single bullet, just like a zombie. Cheap American cars! I didn't see any hands rising out of graves, but it's possible I missed those since the scene is so dark in any case. I guess I also didn't see the zombies special abilities--maybe the part where you can't shoot them below the waist? Or the part where you just about have a zombie targeted and a few frames later he's halfway across the screen? Teleportation is the special ability?

Want me to keep going or is that enough for now?

I've said it before and I'll say it for the last time--you simply will not change. Have fun shipping a game you know for a fact is completely broken and taking peoples' money. I bet that feels great.

Game is not broken. Thats speculation. It sounded Like you were complaining that there was only one car in the parking deck vs many cars.

Yeah about that..... Really? I decided on one instead.

Get over yourself sadman

So if it takes 12 shots to scare a supernatural Dire Wolf away and only 1 shot to blow up a trashed car, what does that tell you about my intentions with the car?

I will give you time to process the thought

I like how people consistently point out a myriad of issues and your response is either to ignore their entire post or pick out what you perceive to be the worst point they made, focus solely on that, make a snide remark, and then move on.

Bat A: "Hey Larry, that human with a shotgun over there might be able to see us flying below the horizon and the grass may appear to be touching our asses from their point of view. We better adjust and fly higher"

Bat B: " No we wouldn't want that. Dude why are those other humans rollerskating? They must be crazy! Don't they know there is a zombie outbreak?"

I can not take anything you guys are saying seriously if you cant understand something as simple as perspective. I'm sorry. Also you can not tell from the video how it plays. Doesn't matter what I make or post here. The reaction from the same exact individuals will always be the same. Then after more than 2 people say something in my defense Sauron or Punisher will lock my thread.

Can't take you serious. Im sorry

I haven't played any of these games but all this hullabaloo makes me interested. The reviews of these games by Second opinion games are not that negative.

Personally I don't see why people get so upset. If you don't like the game, don't buy it, end of story.

Game is not broken. Thats speculation.

Speaking of speculation, speculators and collectards really are blessed... a game developer making bank on clearly broken efforts, handling constructive criticism somewhere on the intersect betwen Chemical Ali and Trump's Twitter account.

Bravo, Mr. Bonez. Jaguar fake news. Nothing to see here, please buy and enjoy!

I can not take anything you guys are saying seriously if you cant understand something as simple as perspective.

Perspective is a wonderful thing, you could really do with some when considering how you've handled both yourself and your releases. Sad.

Man, I ain't takin' sides, but I like how people like me who purchase are looked at as unstable and collectards. I'm just trying to enjoy collecting for and playing a wonky console over here.

Don't take this the wrong way, but please, given the undeniable (lack of) quality shown in the video posted by the author himself, consider what kind of message that sentence is sending to all the developers for the system that you love that do actually care about quality.

Why spend 1+ year working on something when you can rush out unfinished junk after 5 minutes?

That's a fair argument and I definitely agree that the little touches, polish and overall testing leads to a more fun and memorable project.

5 minutes? You think I made the game in 5 minutes? You have actually convinced yourself of that untruth have you? When you know full well it has been a year?!?!?!??!

Dumb comments like this is exactly what I meant about not taking captain Reboot and his friends seriously.

Like how can I? How can I take you seriously?

5 minutes. Wow. Unfinished junk. Wow. Pretty sure its FINISHED.

Some of your harshest critics are also your best providers of feedback. Even if it hurts.

It's really hard to overstate the value of feedback through direct testing and observation in the pursuit of making a solid and well polished final release. It's something that is usually quite difficult to obtain and is a prized contribution from those who care enough to spend their time doing so.

This is something you learn very early on when coding. Or not it seems...

I'll say this much. I don't view my customers and the people who have supported my efforts as collectards. I also have always tried to make my price point appealing and eventually even lower the price on all my games. I have also put a lot of money and effort into the packaging, overlays and manual for JagZombies. The manuals were professionally done at about $5 a piece because I DO care about the quality of my products. As someone stated above my efforts are not a lost cause as the Second Opinion Games reviews have not been that bad. When you start attacking the people who have been buying my games you are also attacking the same people who fork out $80 for overpriced Rebooteroids or even $90 for Elansar. $100 for Sea Battle.

Is Sea Battle a better game than Fast Food 64? I seriously doubt it, but that doesn't mean I would refer to anyone who bought that game as a collectard or unstable.

I challenge each and every one of you (madman, cj, zerosquare, remowilliams, shr-3, Phoenix, shamus, ECT)

To say at least 1 thing you LIKE about JagZombies.

You CAN'T. because its not about JagZombies at all.

In the meantime I await Second Opinion Games review of JagZombies

That's a pretty bizarre thing to say.

If someone doesn't like a thing, why would they have any aspect of it that they do like? and how does that prove it's not about the item itself?

That's like asking someone to say something they like about being shot in the head! No one has experienced it, and it's not something that they want to experience (in terms of being shot in the head). This doesn't somehow mean their dislike of being shot in the head has anything to do with other than being shot in the head.

There is just no logic to that statement.

I have played jag zombies practically all the way through. My thoughts are yes the hit detection does appear to be off slightly in some instances, however if the cross is red, just shoot. I think the game is a tad to short but other than that it's not bad. If you had to kill more zombies before the levels advanced it would suit me better. Like 5 minutes per level. I would have as well preferred to reload mid clip.

With that said I think you guys are being quite a bit harsh on the overall game. Comparing this to previous games I personally feel this game plays better overall. As far as mechanics the only thing I see that really could have been implemented better would be the hit detection. I think most other stuff is not really noticeable and just nit-picking.

Nope. Not bizarre. If this were JUST constructive criticism and feeback then someone SHOULD be able to say AT LEAST 1 THING THEY LIKE.

Its not constructive criticism or helpful feedback at all. Thats my point its an AMBUSH.

And did you just compare my game to a shot in the head? Really dude?

Sure I can. You managed to release it and in physical form. That's a huge step above people who talk endlessly but never release anything.

But you're right, this is not just about JagZombies. It's about every single game you've released. You may claim again and again that you care about quality, but the results speak for themselves: you don't listen to feedback, and it's now clear you have no idea of what quality is.

The best proof is thinking games like Elansar and Rebooteroids, which took massive efforts to create and have a quality rivaling commercial releases, are comparable to JagZombies, which has the production standards of a mediocre Flash game.
