Atari 800xl Monitors

Just get a modern small flat screen TV that has SVideo input...

The 800xl to Svideo cable is easy to make and if you get a good set (say SONY or Toshiba) you'll be getting a great modern tube with all the refinements that the last 20 years of tube design and chassis design have accomplished.

I run my 8bits on a SONY 20" WEGA set for the most part, and compared to my older monitors the picture is AMAZING...

Remember that after just a few years an old tube (especially that in a 15 year old vintage monitor) will have dulled, the image quality will have decreased significantly as the components have aged -- nothing lasts forever!!!

You'll also have to do the Supervideo 2.0 upgrade, or similiar to get S-Video out of your 800XL (unless you are lucky enough to get one that has chroma-luma already... the latest ones did I think.)
