RAMPAGE INTO A MOVIE. WHY?

That actually looks good for a monster movie, and how rotten it has been in games excellent for that. Rampage never had much of a story to it anyway being an arcade game so it gives more room to not totally foul it up like the creative way Super Mario Bros went. Even if they stuck closer to the old arcade mini story of people turning into mutants I don't think the movie would have been all that different still having large animals crushing buildings, equipment and people all the same.

Just take it like going to another Godzilla movie or some of those weird Japanese tv shows like the Power Rangers or Ultraman with the big rubber suit beasts now CGI going at it and have some mindless fun.

The problem I have with this is that in Rampage, the game, the monsters are the protagonists. They're humans transformed into a monstrous form by radioactively-tainted products that were supposed to be harmless, and they're taking it out on everything they see.

Here they're just... monsters. Enlarged animals whose only purpose is to be shot and killed by the Heroic Humans Who Certainly Didn't Do Anything Wrong Yay Humans.

It entirely misses the point of the game. (And it certainly misses all of the 1950s B-Movie humor of the game)

They turned what was supposed to be a humorous perspective-flip into a generic giant monster movie.

Maybe it'll be an all right Generic Giant Monster Movie, but it won't be Rampage.
