sngwriting1
I was calibrating my 5200 controllers last night using the internal adjust knob and was using Missile Command and Pitfall from my Atari Max Cart to test the operation. Later in the evening, I tried to load Pitfall again and it would not load. I happen to own two physical Pitfall cartridges and tested them neither would not load. Does anyone happen to know what the issue could be? I have a 4-port Atari and all the other 5200 roms and cartridges seem to work fine. Thank you in advance. 0078265317
It is strange only that 1 game refuses to load. I had a river raid that refuses to load. After scrubbing the contacts and inserting it just right it loaded. They don't make good contact sometimes.
sngwriting1
Yeah, I am at a total loss. I understand the cartridge needing to be cleaned but when the bin file is not working...i just don't get it.
peedenmark7
Activision games are really finicky.. Sometimes you have to clean them several times to get them to work. Great games, lousy quality materials.
bikeguychicago
The only thing I can think of with the ROM is that it may be corrupted.
sngwriting1
Thanks for the help! I deleted and re-added the Pitfall ROM and she worked. I guess that the physical cartridges are in need of some serious cleaning.
