Albert
Greetings! As some of you are aware, long-time member Random Terrain is seeking help to purchase a new bed so he can once again sleep comfortably. You can find his thread here: The GoFundMe Let's Buy RT a Squishy Bed for Christmas Thread The GoFundMe campaign is here: GoFundMe: Duane's Squishy Adjustable Bed To help Random Terrain reach his goal, we've put up a copy of Boulder Dash for the 2600 up on eBay. As many of you know, we produced 250 copies of Boulder Dash back in 2012 and over the course of a year they sold out. Our license agreement with First Star Software was only for 250 copies, so no additional copies have been produced since then. Andrew Davie has graciously donated his personal copy of the game to be auctioned off for Random Terrain. Interestingly, this copy of Boulder Dash made the rounds between several AtariAge members in 2016 and early 2017. Andrew wanted to give more people the opportunity to play the game, so Boulder Dash traveled from Australia (where Andrew lives), back to the United States, up to Canada, back to the United States, and then ultimately returned to its start in Austin, Texas. Here's the thread regarding the game's travels: Boulder Dash - Loaner Cart; Reviews and Reservations Now this copy of Boulder Dash is available for purchase on eBay! eBay: Rare Boulder Dash Atari 2600 Homebrew with Extras! Because the box, manual and poster all have wear, I am including a BRAND NEW box, manual and poster with the game. I'm also including the original box, manual and poster, so you'll have them both. The game also includes the diamonds that came with the game, buttons, an Atari pin, and an Atari patch. Also included is a homemade SaveKey that accompanied Boulder Dash for part of its journey (the SaveKey will record your high score in Boulder Dash, and many other homebrew games). We'll also send you a free Boulder Dash poster in a tube if you're in the US, so you can have an unfolded poster. If you're outside the US and win, pay for the shipping for the poster and we'll send you one in a tube. The final value of the auction will be donated in its entirety to Random Terrain. We will be covering the eBay and PayPal fees. Shipping is free in the United States via Priority Mail. I've attached photos of the game--these are also visible in the eBay auction. Thanks for reading! ..Al
