NISMOPC
Try GameStop online. They have deals with their premium refurb's and they come with 2 games as well as a wii controller. Cheaper than just the refurb'd units they sell in-store.
eightbit
NO Gamestop. Get it refurbished right from Nintendo and you will end up with a machine that is indistinguishable from brand new. I know, I ordered two of them: https://store.nintendo.com/ng3/browse/productDetailColorSizePicker.jsp?productId=prod150200
Jaymiester
Do the refurbs come complete in original box?
NathanOfLight
Yeahhh, no Gamestop. The conditions really suck - at least that's been my experience.
Bratwurst
Do the refurbs come complete in original box? They don't, I believe they come in generic carton/cardboard brown and white boxes. I've bought a bunch of refurb hardware direct from Nintendo before, not the Wii U specifically, but that's how everything else has come. And I can confirm that it all looked sparkling brand new. monzamess
Some Nintendo refurbs come in a retail box (with "refurbished" stickers or markings). Not sure how to know what you're getting ahead of time. My own experience with Nintendo refurbs is good.
NathanOfLight
I'll definitely consider that option if it comes to it, but will keep looking for a very good condition one if anyone has one. Thanks for the suggestion!

eightbit
What was the shipping cost? I can't recall...ity has been a year at least. It wasn't much as I recall. Follow the link and fill out the checkout form and you will get the shipping to your location. The refurb unit comes in a white box that is essentially the Wii U box but without printing. There is a certified Nintendo refurb sticker on the box. When you open it it is essentially identical to what you find in the retail box. At $175 for a system that is essentially new, from Nintendo and with warranty it would be stupid to buy elsewhere.
NathanOfLight
A fair point. I am so used to refurb units only having like 1-3 month warranties.
eightbit
Normally I am against refurb anything. I'd rather buy second hand from someone (if it cannot be obtained new of course) than something marked as "refurb" from places like Gamestop and the like. However, Nintendo's refurb product is so good that if they didn't tell you it was you would not know the difference. I took a chance with them on refurb and now that I now I will likely buy Nintendo refurb again.
