In my experience, every time I mention a mobile game I like, whether retro or modern, there's always a big pile-on of people who are like "in-app purchases ruin everything!" and "apple sucks" and "games need buttons to be fun." It's literally these same 3 boring responses every. single. time. It's gotten so I don't even want to talk about mobile games here anymore. So with one thread it would have to be a targeted thing, like "what mobile game are you playing this week?". I get the point that AA can't do it all. For a site centered around the Atari universe, I spend virtually all of my time here talking about Nintendo. There's a ton of non-Atari stuff already so I'm not sure if the powers that be would be interested in expansion. That being said, if I were an admin (and no, I don't want the headache or responsibility), I would consider having a mobile subforum under modern gaming, as well as handheld subforums for current gen (3DS and Vita). That, of course, reflects what I'm into. If I were more Atari centered I'm sure my energies would be elsewhere. I had a funny thought tonight: what will happen to all of the current gen forums when we get the PS5 and XBox whatever? Would they be dumped into modern gaming somehow? There's a never ending NeoGeo thread like that. They're VERY friendly, engaged, and into it, to the point that people send me welcome messages when I post in it. Why not kick it off in Mobile Gaming? You could call it "the official mobile gaming (iOS/Android) thread" ...if you do, it would be super swell to set those ground rules about keeping it positive, no bitching about virtual controls allowed. Supposedly Xbox one is the last Xbox, they'll just iterate on this design from here on out. Or maybe that was windows 10.
