What 7800 Cables Do I Need To Get Going?

Hey all,

 

I got a console only 7800 a couple years back and I never really had the inclination to hook it up...until now. I'd like to finally play it. Do you know of a good place to get the replacement cables and maybe a controller? I think I remember going to the best electronics site and it wasn't helpful but it's been a while.

You will need a power supply, RF cable and a RCA to Coax barrel adapter to get you connected and running. Then you will need some type of joystick. Best Electronics is probably going to be the best place to go. If you can't manage to navigate the site (which hasn't improved), just use the contact link to send Brad a message and tell him what you need. He'll get back to you with a price.

 

There are 3rd party power supplies out there, but I have no experience with them, so I don't feel comfortable recommending one of them.

 

Also, if you don't know if the console even works, it's going to be a gamble putting that much into cables and a Pro Line joystick.

Something else to consider is the cost of some of the games for the 7800. Most are affordable, but some aren't.

You might want to do some research on the games and maybe play them on an emulator before sinking much money into this.

Of course you can play 2600 games on it, but if you already have a 2600, there's not much point in that.
