Dauber
I'm thinking of having folks over for some Atari and related fun. Either March 24 or May 12 - both are Saturdays. I live on the north side of Chicago, literally a few blocks away from where Bob and Emily Hartley's apartment was. Did this once before in 2007, and I think most of the folks who were there no longer participate on these forums...hmmm...correlation?? This is NOT set in stone; just trying to get a feeler or two out... aaaanyway, if you're interested, let me know what date works better. Further details: I have at my disposal an Atari 7800 (which, as you probably know, can also play 2600 stuff), a stand-alone Atari 2600 (well, a Sears Video Arcade, but...you get the point), an Atari 600XL (with upgraded RAM so it'll actually run stuff!), a GPD-XD handheld emulator thingy, and a Raspberry Pi that I haven't done anything with yet but could theoretically get RetroPie running on. DISABILITY ALERT: We live on the third floor, and there's no elevator. (ADA FTW!) ALLERGY ALERT: We have a dog. And she'll want love and affection from everybody. SMOKING ALERT: Not allowed in the building; have to go outside for that. PARKING ALERT: Actually I live in a very parkable area with no required permits or meters or anything. INTRUDER ALERT: The humanoid must not escape.
