Bought a Sega Genesis just for.....

LOL

I saw the subject line and assumed you were going to say something like, "five bucks."

Majesco's Frogger is a good port. Was it the last official game released? I think it might be, it was super late.

I remember Frogger and Ms Pacman being the last 2 on store shelves.

Either way, there was loads of good and great games in the Genesis library. I bought Gauntlet IV, Double Dragon, and Mortal Kombat as my 1st titles

Bought mine back in the day for Street Fighter II Special Champion Edition (it came with Sonic 2, but I am not a platformer guy and barely played it). Then rented Golden Axe II, Streets of Rage 2, and Dragon's Fury...and it quickly became my favorite thing in the world. :D

Even remember enjoying rentals of Splatterhouse and Simpsons: Bart's Nightmare.

Oh yeah I love Dragon's Fury, which is Devil's Crush on Turbografx...And Alien Crush on Turbografx (the prequel), and Dragon's Revenge which is a Genesis only sequel, and the piece de resistance: Jaki Crush on Super Famicom, A Devil's Crush sequel by the same company (Naxat).

Hadn't heard of Jaki Crush...going to have to check that out! Dragon's Revenge wasn't as good as Dragon's Fury unfortunately.

My favorite way to play is either Alien Crush / Devil Crush on the Wii VC, or the Cart on the Genesis Flashback in HD.

Somebody on AA I believe had a pic of this AWESOME Dragon's Fury poster. If they're around please post a link; the guy had it framed, just unbelievable. It's the art from the Genesis game, but the original art, just fantastic.

Thanks for the heads up.

I've come across the name long ago but never investigated exactly what the game was.

I just downloaded it (https://www.emuparadise.me/Super_Nintendo_Entertainment_System_(SNES)_ROMs/Jaki_Crush_(Japan)/34108) and played it using the SuperEverdrive.

Nice to have another pinball game for the SNES.

Good stuff.

Back in the day, my brother in law sold his SNES and games to buy a Genesis so he could play Sonic Spinball. No lie.

?

Certainly not outside the realm of possibility, but the dude must have really loved Sonic, hated Pinball, and never played ANY other Genesis game.

There's numerous Genesis games worth selling your SNES over to make that choice (as one may have to as a regular income person in the 90's)
