Parker Bros. 5200 Labels for Printing?

I don't know of anyone who sells reproduction labels. I've been thinking of designing and printing my own, because several of my cartridges also have missing or badly damaged labels. Atari's labels generally hold up pretty well over time unless the ink gets washed off; it seems to be the Parker Brothers and Activision labels that are aging the worst.

It's an unusual shape, which is why I'll probably just scan in a complete label and use it as a guide for designing my own template. I've had pretty good results so far printing labels on a color laser, covering them with transparent tape, and cutting them with a paper trimmer. The hardest part is finding the time to sit down and do it ...

I don't actually have a label to scan. z.z. (The carts came without them.) I'll probably find a scan of a cart and keep printing until I get it about the size of a real cart and then make an outline in photoshop or something until I get the slant right and then work from there.

Those look great! I don't suppose anyone has Activision labels? Those carts annoy me. I'd like to pop a couple of them open for a proper cleaning, but you have to ruin the labels to do it. And my ability to create an attractive label is on par with my ability to get the little frog across the stream. (I swear these games were easier when I was 12!)

It's so funny to see this thread again. At the time I wrote my earlier posts, I hadn't yet seen pboland's labels in person. I've since acquired many of his labels for my collection, and I can vouch for their quality. I don't think my cartridges have ever looked better, even when new! I'd recommend them highly.

Thanks for the recommendation. Now I have to see what the hype is about. It sounds like this might be just what I was looking for...
