Analmux passed away

Hello all

Last night I read in this thread that people hadn't heard from analmux for a while. AFAIK I never met analmux in person, but I knew he was a Dutchman like myself. I found his real world name and googled for that name. I found out that a person with that same name and first initial is mentioned in the phonebook. F#READY lives in the same city (and knows more Dutch Atari 8 bit users than I do), so I asked him if he knew analmux. Freddy didn't know analmux personally, but went to the address I found. He was greeted by Bernhard Pos Senior, who told him that his son, Bernhard Pos, whom we all know as "analmux", died in 2016.

His family didn't know about AtariAge or any other contacts of his son. All the Atari stuff has been sold.

Freddy will relay all messages from Atari friends to analmux' family, either via the real world mailbox or via the electronic mailbox.

Mathy

That's really sad news. I was wondering about him a few times.

He did some cool stuff on the Ataris (POKEY/RMT stuff and Super Mario Bros).

Condolences to his parents and family. He was quite young (mid-30's?).

Rest in peace Bernhard; we will always appreciate your Atari work & enthusiasm.

[Note: BTW, the thread title is a little off grammatically -- "pasted".]

Pos, Bernhard - Analmux- ANALogue MUltipleXer - Netherlands
his music will be missed as well as his experimentations. He really enjoyed messing with pokey.

I've long felt as we lose members, that a card to the family and surviving members should be sent from the community. Many times they really need to hear just how special their loved one was and how much the contributed to the lives of others. It helps.

Nice to post some of his works, I felt slightly better seeing it.

I am very sorry for the news.

Years ago Bernhard made a Player Missile Graphics language machine routine for me:

http://atariage.com/forums/topic/149441-multipurpose-pm-engine-for-use-in-basic/

He made a lot of other things for A8, as you can see on his AtariAge page:

http://atariage.com/forums/user/3860-analmux/

In the past years we exchanged some messages and he told me he had a serious health problem.

I think he wrote that on AtariAge too.

In 2014 he told me he was ok...

He was very young (I think 35 years old when he passed away).

Rest in pace Bernhard and thank you for your Atari friendship.

Can not believe it... he invented MWP and last year I showed ppl that Mario Bros. 3 thing and I remember having a chat over the phone with Emkay (yes... its possible ;)) when Analmux was visiting you?

Still remember...

I remember the discussion about MWP at the time like it was yesterday, it was the first thing I thought about when I read the news here. It's really sad that he passed so young.

Yeah and when looking at when I joined AA I can tell you that I knew some of you (even only over the board) for a very long time...
