...sans the two completely unnecessary cut outs toward the edge connector of course. I hate, hate, hate 7800 shells for this reason. Exposed adhesive promotes peeling, collects dust, lint and hair and if you're a fat fingered clod, end up with divets or punctures before long. :mad:

 

Your new 2600 shells look awesome by the way! Would be nice if the homebrews here included them. :love:

Same, I'm not a big fan of the 7800 shells at all for that very reason. Plus, they are more brittle than 2600 shells, and Atari continued to use molds even after they had developed cracks and other imperfections, so many of the carts have surface defects where you apply the main label.

A redesign with no cut outs from the cart face would be far better for sure. The VGWIZ shells of old where not a perfect solution but his design was a lot better than that of Atari.
