gambler172
Hi Guys herenew games, made by Blue Azure..... JRPAC2600 released by Michael Ferrell 04252012 and updated in 2018 Several years ago A7800 programmer Michael Ferrell posted a nice rendition of the 2600 Pacman on the 7800 using the original 7800 JR PAC as a host. And through the years Ferrell has posted a bunch of 7800 Pac-man games on youTube. This year we decided to update the game with new gadgets. We tried to contact him but no answer. Maybe he or someone who knows him can contact us at atari78in84@yahoo.com. In this update 'Joe' has been updated to 'Clyde' using the existing limited bytes available. It works! We're sharing this game so we can play it forward to next coder who might update this to 2600 sound that TEP exhibited in Pac_Collection_Snd_Hack. There 8 slots for mazes but at this point all 8 are identical. There are many other new features listed here: JRPAC2600 Features... Five (5) Player 1 start lives. Intermission viewable at the start of the game. Rack numbers in scoring field - works in 2 Player mode as well. Remaining Dot Counter Display...so you always know how many dots remain on the screen. Introducing RPD - Retain Position Direction so when the Player dies he re-starts right where he was, which is handy for a horizontal scroller game. The direction is now set to Left, as there can be Pac-man Runaway when he returns going to the right. Invoked "International Free Roaming" (IFR) so the "Fruit" freely wanders around the whole maze until the Player munches it. TurnBlue activated upon munching the "Fruit." High Score Cart (HSC) is de-activated for obvious reasons. JRPAC2600_5D40.bin JrPac2600_32K.a78 Pac_snd_hack.bin SLIMETIME2 - based on the original SLIMETIME released by Joshua 02212017 Almost exactly a year ago, A7800 blogger Joshua posted a fine game SLIMETIME on 7800 Hacks. Unfortunately, it seems hardly anyone noticed it. We played it and loved it. It seems Joshua has packed and departed and for us it was sad because he had done such a great job and then no fanfare. He was an Atariage member for 13 years. We tried to contact him but no answer. Maybe he or someone who knows him can contact us at atari78in84@yahoo.com. We'd love to exchange what we have for whatever he may have done with the game since. In SLIMETIME2 the PIZZA message has been added, the HOTDOG changed and the SKATEBOARD changed. The rest of Joshua's stamps have been maintained as they were. SLIMETIME2 Features... Five (5) Player 1 start lives. All-new "Fruit" - expert sprite development by Joshua, and slightly modified in SLIMETIME2. This JR PAC derivative now has a 4th intermission viewable at the start of the game. Faster Player speed to boost Player's confidence. PlusMode activated at 8th rack so you play 7 normal racks and then 7 PlusMode racks. TurnBlue activated upon munching the "Fruit." All-new 6400 bonus score for the 4th "Fruit." This gains 800+1600+3200+6400 = 12000 bonus points. Must be some kind of record. High Score Cart (HSC) is de-activated for obvious reasons. Gray Defender
Thanks for posting these. FYI, I am having a problem with the JRPAC2600_32k.a78 ROM in emulation. The game freezes up within about 30 seconds. I am pretty new to using the A7800 emulator but most of the other games work great including the slimetime2 game. It could be my configuration. Any insights would be appreciated.
