Working on a new game tentatively called Bomb Collapser. It's sort of a mix of Minesweeper and the old 99'er game Lost Ruins. You have five tunnelers, each with a finite amount of moves, and you are trying to find and safely excavate ten bombs so they can be safely detonated. If you run into a bomb, it blows up and destroys you, but you can clear spaces without moving into them. Any unexploded bombs are detonated when that tunneler runs out of moves.
Each explosion collapses tunnels and can destroy a tunneler, but can also reveal other bombs and bonuses. I'm adding tunnel monsters and the possibility of flooded tunnels over the weekend and then doing some play-testing and graphics refinement.
Being a turn-based game, I was planning to leave this one as uncompiled TI BASIC and eventually release it on tape. However, the more I add the slower it gets, so it may wind up only existing as compiled BASIC after all.
It may still change directions again. I was just experimenting with some movement and graphics routines and it kind of took on a life of its own, so who knows where it'll end up?
Hoping to have a working version available in the next few days.
