Congratulations to McKong for regaining the HSC Championship with an impressive 10 wins to boot :thumbsup:

 

I took runner up spot with deteacher holding off a late surge by carlsson for the final Hall of Fame spot

 

It's been an enjoyable season with some classics and a few unusual games getting an outing. Thanks for playing EVERYONE, even if it was the odd go where you had time, it's much appreciated (final tables on post above)

 

Now McKong I did say there would be a prize this season so I have the following Atari goodies (?!)

Hardware - I have interface I bought that attaches to XL/XE and supports a hard drive - I did fit a drive to it and use it briefly but it's unlikely I'm going to use it so that's one choice.

Software - a boxed copy of Rain of Terror or Ransack or if you would like something unusal I have a boxed game called Voyager that was sent to me by the author, it's more of a prototype (by the same guys who did Dungeon Hunt).

 

I'll post something tomorrow to get Season 16 under way, hope to see you all there

I really liked Bosconian, we might have to bend the rules and play it again next season, I'm a big fan of those Hi-Res games and enjoyed that month long extended round; Atari Blast! was great along with Blaster plus Guardians of the Gorn was a nice find too

Not too many duffers this time, even Santa's Revenge had some playability (what about that terrible skiiing game eh trbb?)

Hi trrb, thanks for organising this, like I said before and will hopefully say again it's simply the best HSC out there. Heaps of fun games and fun vibes, good discussion and civilised players, without the unhealthy things often found in other such drives.

 

Kudos to the winner McKong and the other players, whose scores often defied well established laws of reason and our physical reality in general

Pat on the back to my ol' self for not doing too badly despite never actually owning nor playing any Atari 8-bit games before (at least not in any serious capacity). And, of course showing a former Sinclair/Commodore fanboi that definitely there is much more merit to this machine than my teenage self would have thought.

Another fun season. I got to play some old favourites, and plenty of new games, some good, some not so. Bosconian was probably the standout new game for me.

 

As for the prize, I don't feel I deserve a prize! I think it should go to someone who contributed more. Aside from yourself, Carlsson contributed the most with his frequent postings, containing help and background information. I've been reducing the Atari footprint in my house, and it wouldn't feel right to accept the prize and then Ebay it in a year's time!

 

Looking forward to next season already. Hopefully we'll get some more regulars
