Porte048
Interesting product I stumbled onto today. Obviously no signal gain, but it will definitely be easy to hookup especially since TVs are starting to not have tuners, plus HDMI seems to be replacing AV at a fast pace. I typically use Intellivision, so I'm tempted to try this. http://www.ambery.com/anvitodvcowi.html Thoughts?
+LS650
$138 US seems a tad high.
derFunkenstein
$138 US seems a tad high. That's nothing compared to an OSSC. I paid $254 after shipping. Plus I needed SCART cables and a switch. All told I've got around $350 in my setup just for a Genesis, Saturn, and Dreamcast (connected via VGA to the upscaler). But man, I gotta tell you, the first time you turn it on is jaw-dropping. My TV has passable composite inputs and I've been playing my older games that way for a couple months now, but I can say without a doubt...it was absolutely worth it. derFunkenstein
That makes me feel better, maybe this HDMI is worth it! I don't meant to temper your excitement, but... I don't know that it'll make a huge difference if you don't have an RGB signal to send. In my case it's all native RGB from the various consoles (via SCART switch) to the OSSC. You might just wind up with the same crummy RF signal, but on a new TV.

Oh no I have zero expectations for any RF improvement, I was just happy it wasn't the most expensive device
derFunkenstein
Oh! Right. I think that award goes to the XRGB Framemeister. It's $400 on Amazon and not much less than that if you order direct.
Tanooki
Do we know if it introduces some wicked lag though? That would be a game deal breaker instantly.

From my understanding the RF to composite has no lag - based on atari users As for this one, I'll report back

Analog to Analog doesn't induce latency, it induces noise and signal loss.
