Atari 800xl Ram

I accidently posted this in another section. Is this the ram needed for an 800xl? Need to try to fix black screen.

That should do. Brand not mentioned but no business wanting to remain open would go pushing NOS parts from MT or other known bad brands.

Looks like from the data sheet that its 256 cycle refresh (4ms). I not 100% sure, but I think you have to have the newer ANTIC C021697 that has the 8 bit refresh counter. The older ANTIC C012296 only has the 7 bit refresh counter and needs 128 cycle refresh (2ms). Look up the refresh on the data sheet for the RAM you are replacing. Who made the original RAM? What's it say on top of the RAM chips?

It does have the co21697 Antic. I will check the ram manufacturer. I wonder if the Antic is bad. Pins look a little white as does side of the chip. Sceen is black but you can also see slight green texture. When I ran it without antic screen was black.
