The Spartans offense exploded in the middle of the game for two runs. It would have been more except the Dogs made some good plays to minimize the damage. The Dogs got a run in the 7th and almost tied it in the 8th but were shut down by the Spartans defense. The Spartans hold on to win 3-2. The Mutants beat the Smash 1-0 in 19 innings on a walk off single, tying the record for the longest game in league history. Two weeks left until the championship series and we still got a tight race! The Mutants and Snakes are tied for first place in the Action Network, with the Ghosts a half game back and Smash one game back. So here's the championship race: The Mutants are in first place in the Action Network, with the Snakes and Ghosts both one game back. The River Raiders and Spartans are tied for first place in the Battle Network, with the Bombers one game back. Next week is the last week, and it's inter-network week! The top two teams in the league battle it out on Wednesday as the River Raiders host the Mutants. Possible championship preview right there. The Spartans and Snakes have a VERY slim chance to take their networks on tiebreakers. Both teams will need to win their next games by at least 8 runs to do so. That's the most runs scored by the Smash in one game. However, it's all for nothing, they needed do that a week or two ago. The River Raiders are going to the Championship Series!
