Opry99er
Alright... as with many of these *high mileage* classic computers, the paint on my Model III is chipped and worn. It needs a freshening up, so to speak. I have a bit of a wild idea, and I thought Id toss it out here to see what you guys think. A highly reflective metal flake silver paint.... crazy? I also put a picture of my current computer below so you can visualize. Let me know what you think.

Stormbringer
lol... sorry... that was a bit harsh but it looks glorious as is
Opry99er
I like harsh. It is nice, but it looks tired. A computer of this epic magnitude should be as glorious in appearance as it is under the hood. 48K of CPU RAM, stock off the line in 1981... not many computers can boast that. Keatah
Repaint to match the original color as best as possible. If you wanna beef it up, put racing stripes on it!
Opry99er
I think Ill go with Krylon aluminum, which was suggested to me by my buddy Jake. It looks pretty damned close.
Omega-TI
While you're at it, remove all keys and clean them too! Also, the front of the the disk drives always look better with a little Armor All after cleaning. It'll look brand new and we want photos! Opry99er
Ill see what I can do. Itll be a few weeks before Im ready to tackle this... mainly because the weather has been so bad up here in Wisconsin that any kind of spray paint job would be impossible... I dont have the indoor space. When I do it, it will likely stay disassembled for a few weeks while I purchase caps, replace ribbon cables, fix disk drives, etc.. once I get it back together, I hope to never open it up again. Osgeld
using that stuff on a TRS no ... but it might end up on my laptop as it screams "trashy 70's boat paint" and my core 2 quad HP's paint is wearing thin (and who cares if I paint a off lease core 2 quad HP laptop lol) Edited April 14, 2018 by Osgeld

Opry99er
Haven't done anything with it yet. Need to get some caps and such ordered. Been focusing mostly on a new hush hush game project for another system and earning Activision patches on the 2600.
