V-Cool Posted April 10, 2018 Share Posted April 10, 2018 Ok, so I just got my Wimodem232OLED in and am trying to get online. I haven't connected the modem to my wireless network yet. The instructions say that first I should type in the ATI command with it set at 300 baud and ascii to make sure everything is hooked up correctly. And, in Bobterm I don't see where I can type in ATI. I see where I can add a phone number but typing ATI in there doesn't get me anywhere. I'm also a bit concerned because my LED hasn't lit up on the modem either like in the pictures so I'm not sure it's getting power. I have it hooked up through my P:R: Connection. I found a cable that fit the modem from one of my camera's. Is anything that fits safe or do I need to get one specifically for the modem? Anything that'll carry the current and isn't falling apart should do the job Speaking of safe, Jim has a free downloadable STL set for printing a nicely functional little case for it. I'd recommend anyone who can print one and has one of these do so. Yes, I was definitely planning on getting a case. I see a guy sells them for $33 shipped on eBay which sounds quite high. I just discovered my local library offer 3d Printing. Shouldn't there be one set of plans for the regular and a different one for the OLED model? Never mind. Just found an STL reader and it looks like this set will work for the OLED. Thanks for the tip.
