So rummaging through my bins I came across one of these. Seeing as how they sell for like $60 and I really hate the xbox I decided to test to so I can sell. I was curious though on the difference in quality. So I ran some test. It was quite apparent that this High def, has more vibrant colors and you can see in the background the squares and hexagons show up better in the High def. Soon as the xbox starts you can just see the logo has brighter and sharper images.

After seeing the quality difference, I may have to keep this.

Both tested on my 27" KD-27FS170 Trinitron.

Here is a normal standard a/v cable.

These work well with modded systems, too. It's one reason why I've never needed to buy any clone retro system. It wouldn't surprise me if these would also be useful for video capture and for upscalers.

Though still a 480i image on your KV series CRT, the component separation improves the video color stream separation. I use a 3rd party component hookup on my Xbox and set to progressive on my HD CRT. Going from 480i to 480p an even cleaner image. Some of the games kick up to 720p.

Some go even further. Atari Anthology outputs at 1080i.

I'm also using a 3rd-party component hookup. Right now it's on my OSSC.

First time played GTA Vice City at 720p (which has been a while...I got my first HDTV, a Westinghouse 32" LCD, in 2007) I was hoooked.

So does Dragon's Lair 3D. There are several 720p games as well.

This makes me want to set up one of my modded xboxes again. I just have too many other things to do these days.
