deepthaw
Picked up Real Bout Fatal Fury Special last night for Switch, it's part of the "ACA Neo*Geo" collection. Did it out of curiosity to see how good the emulation was, how the options were, etc. It's actually quite nice. 10 different filtering options for scanlines, button remapping, can play both US and JPN versions, dipswitches, supports at least one save state. It's also the arcade rather than home version. Makes me wish I had a better controller to play it (The Switch Pro controller is nice, but the d-pad just isn't doing it for me.) If the emulator is introducing much input lag beyond what my HDTV does in game mode, I'm not noticing it. Now I need to go back to pick up SamSho 2. Also hope we get more of the Metal Slug series released (What's consensus on the best Metal Slug? X?)

thetick1
....Also hope we get more of the Metal Slug series released (What's consensus on the best Metal Slug? X?) Metal Slug X .. just an awesome game. I goto St. Marks Barcade with roll of quarters to play Metal Slug X. If I don't go with friends I wait until another Metal Slug fan shows up as really need two people to make progress when playing the arcade otherwise it can get expensive. Also the Jersey City Barcade much less crowded and more more spacious has Metal Slug 2! Edited April 27, 2018 by thetick1
Tanooki
Ehh no Base Ball Stars 2 eh? The first is pretty decent, but people will feel kind of cranky once the sequel hits or just avoid it maybe thinking much more of the same. Ninja Combat is a guilty pleasure, but I can't say much nice for the others but sports, weaker of the 2 golf games, and a very terrible motorcycle racer. Blazing Lazers
The ACA Neo Geo games are most of the reasons why I finally got an Xbox One and joined the current generation of gaming. The ones I really want are Slug 4 and 5, along with Prehistoric Isle 2. The next batch has been revealed. Super Sidekicks 2: The World Championship Baseball Stars Professional Top Players Golf Ninja Combat Riding Hero Where did you find this list? I've been looking for wherever it is that Hamster announces these things in advance. After this wave of early titles, I really look forward to the next batch. Dead on post. Baseball Stars 2 is so much better. Riding hero.....WTF?? Who would ask for that. Riding Hero isn't as bad as many claim, particularly if you're ever lucky enough to get another player. It does also have a story mode with some mild RPG elements.
Austin
Riding Hero is crap. I'm surprised they are bothering to re-release it at all.
Cobra Kai
I bought Sengoku 3. That's the fourth time I've purchased this game over the years, as I had bought the AES cart 3 times. I can't play this game very well with a regular pad though. Joystick options are kind of expensive right now, although I have an HRAP expro for the 360 stored away, but I don't think it'll work on the Xone. I think they have one to use 360 sticks on an Xbox one.
Jess Ragan
I personally recommend the Mayflash universal adapter (in blue) myself, but I've heard good things about the Brooks adapters. The Mayflash adapter has a USB port and a port for PS2 controllers, which is a big plus if you have any lying around.
MotoRacer
Is it possible the neo geo cd style controllers they're making for the mini arcade thing they're releasing would work for pc and consoles? I mean, they are just usb pads.
Atariboy
Next five releases have been announced. Super Sidekicks 3: The Next Glory The Last Blade 2 Money Puzzle Exchanger The Super Spy League Bowling I wonder how much longer this will continue? The SNK well must be getting close to running dry. I hope Neo Drift Out manages to make it out before they're done, but there's 3 or 4 car licenses and a handful of sponsors. So Hamster either has to do some modifications to the code to make it non-infringing, or pony up for a small number of licenses. And with another company probably involved here (Visco, the developer) since SNK appears to have just been the publisher, I might be out of luck. Tanooki
Not really there are 148 legit period release MVS games to pool from. If they wanted to get a little more crafty considering what they did on the Neo Geo 25th Anniv package on humble bundle/gog there are CD to MVS conversions such as Bikringer Ironclad would add a few more titles. If their own site is entirely up to date, currently 71 of 148(or so) games for the MVS are active on the Switch alone. They're 1/2 through basically. Atariboy
Here's the next batch of Neo Geo releases. I assume the Puzzle Bobble games are first up, since they were already announced for release the last time around. King of Monsters 2 Neo Geo Cup '98 Puzzle Bobble Puzzle Bobble 2 Thrash Rally Twinkle Star Sprites Stakes Winner 2 Seems as if all I ever post here is news about emulated classic games on modern platforms. Tanooki
Whoa some really solid games there and a very very heavy hitter in the wallet with TSS. Can hardly see much of a reason to complain at all with those options. Even those 3 sports games are fairly solid stuff if you're into horse racing, soccer, and racing. I don't have a PS Store account in that region. Nor have I put my JP store profile on my PS4, as I haven't yet researched the implications that has on the PS4. I guess I need to set up a Singapore account eventually. All these different zones are stupid.

Sony is really terrible with this (I still remember when I bought my PS TV and incompatible games came up for sale in the store, with nothing stating they wouldn't work on the hardware until after I bought it).
