Let me guess, Realtek audio?

Yup, it's the Realtek. I'm not using the PC's other sound card built into the Nvidia graphics card because my monitor does not have it's own speakers, so I just plugged the Bose speaker I bought into the back. For what I do, it's more than adequate.

Is that a common problem with the Realtek driver in Windows 10?

And so on back to Windows 3.1.... ;)

I used to call their little crab icon a warning logo. They've gotten MUCH better for reliability and audio quality, but they still work on the same concepts. The plug detection is nice for an occasional connection, but kind of frustrating for a permanent one. Sometimes you just want it to take your word about what is plugged in.

Good to know, thanks Tursi. It's working again so I can live with it.

So far there is only one thing that is not living up to my expectations, on the new computer, but I suspect the Debut Video Capture Software I'm using rather than the speed of the computer because I barely hit 15% on CPU usage and 28% on RAM & SWAP usage during capture.

Somehow one of my 64GB USB memory sticks got write protected. I'm unable to format the thing and am unable to figure out how to remove the protection so I can reformat it. (sigh)

Open disk manager and check the drive number assigned to the stick

open cmd

start diskpart

type select disk # where # is the number of the drive you got in the first step

type clean

open disk manager again and partition stick and format it

Beware you'll lose what is on it.

Would this procedure restore the write cycles to the original settings?

This is of course off-topic, but it seems cool!

Have you worn out multiple micro USB connectors on an otherwise perfectly nice, and sometimes more expensive cable?

Want a way to eliminate the hassle, and wear and tear? If so, check out << THIS LINK >>

I'm wondering if it'll work with Android Auto as it say's, "only one side supports data transfer for android device".

Anyone here have any first-hand experience with this cool little little gadget?

Surfing in Internet appeared a picture of a building.

:D :D :D :D Maybe I need a psychiatric session... I see TI99s stuff everywhere.

Shows how well the design was, it was used in everything :-D

Had an interesting garage sale find today. I pretty much never find classic video game stuff in garage sales anymore and Ive never found TI stuff. In an otherwise uninteresting one today I found a handful of Atari 2600 carts (Dig Dug being the least common) and a bunch of 99/4A carts which was a big surprise.

Got these:

And what might turn out to be a steal was this one (which Im not familiar with but appears to be rare):

Cant find any completed sales though so I have no idea of its value.

Frog Jump is probably worth about $10 to $15 with that label. You also got one other HTF cartridge. The Othello cartridge you got has the purple label, which is not at all common. It doesn't pop the value up any, but they are much harder to find than the other two label variants.
