+Andrew Davie
Hi there we have successfully done som interesting things and we're looking for volunteers, our goal is to develop a kernell that allows using a pointer device and file system, interested? I'm sorry if my English fails here, but you are doing what? Greetings, Manuel I didn't understand it either I think he's saying that he wants somebody else to make a menu-selection program - sort of a '2600 GUI/desktop - which allows you to select a game you want to play, and then it plays it. I think, if that's the case, it's fairly clueless

+Cafeman
Do not adjust your TV set. WE control the horizontal. WE control the vertical. WE are working on 2600 Windows, erm, stufff and kernells and pointers. Seriously, I don't know what is trying to be stated here either.

DanBoris
Sounds like they are trying to create an OS for the 2600. Maybe porting Linux to the 2600 Dan
gammal
Well, not of course not, but you we've been able to manage some interesting parat of an OS development (i.e. Tasking and multitasking, fyle system management, cursors, icon access to programs, etc.) the reality is that the 2600 can be used as a very well adjusted machine (not a grat machine, but what more do you want?) about pointers management i think we are thinking linux and windows and not OS the definition of an opertaing system (including graphic OS's) is not defined by what have been done, but for what can be done... if you're worried about space, the modules are small enough and even if they are we can always make a special cart... WE are a group of developers in my town of course this kind of work can be done by just one person... anywhay i would like to share thoughts in the yahoo chat and reply this messages in real time, is fun and productive... :-) gassahara@yahoo.com
gammal
WE are a goup of developers in my home town, anyway, the invitation was to join in the development and to share some code and not as a recruiting propaganda, we wanted to post the message first and watch the responses, :-0 anyway i invite you to chat and have this conversation in real time.. :-) gassahara@yahoo.com

Happy_Dude
A file management system on the 2600? Why exactly would you need to "manage" 128 bytes of RAM ? Is there some "special" hardware being used ?
