bdoi Posted May 6, 2018 Share Posted May 6, 2018 Hi I was checking some component on a lynx 2 with a issue that I talked in a previous post, and I a found that the D10 diode looks in shorts (like fuse) . +Stephen Moss Posted May 8, 2018 Share Posted May 8, 2018 If you look at the circuit diagram you will find that there is a path between one end of the diode and the other that passes through L16, the power connector and L14. With the inductors essentially being just a piece of wire that gives the appearance of a short circuit. If you insert the power supply (without turning it on) that opens the switch in the power connector, breaking that path and the diode should read as normal, i.e. open circuit in one direction and 0.6 (Diode setting) or around 1000 ohms (2K setting) on a multi-meter.
