Hi @all,

it's still a work in progress so it's not perfect but just for the fun

Great work!  Do you plan on using light pipes on the top for the internal LEDs?

Thanks.

Yes I thought about it but for only 3 led, the cost is too high. You need these things and these pipes and they are not sold by unit (+shipping..).

I'll post the final result here with the 3D file (3mf) if someone is interested so, tell me.

I'd be happy to share it anyway. :)

OK - only reason I ask, is I made a super shitty - simple, box for my device.  Literally, a black box.  I miss the LEDs though, so I want to somehow bring them out.  I may order new LEDs, and use the longer leads to bring the actual LED to the box, rather than trying the light pipe approach.

Here's the final result, with some painting and 4 screws, it should be OK   ;-)

@Stephen, adding holes in it for the leds should be easy (good idea).

See attached file for the 3D model.

This is what ICD did with the LEDs on the MIO, they also countersank the inside of the holes so the LEDs were just below the surface.

Thank you very much for sharing! I´ve killed one of my SIO2PC-USB during repair due a heavy short-circuit. So I´m very interested to get 2 pieces of them.

Anyone able and willing to make two pieces for me? Of course the costs will be paid.

PN welcome :)

awsome, an XF551 version would be slick the disk slot finger square would be perfect for the usb plug!
