+Karl G
I have a new 7800 system, and it is working great. I've encountered an issue with some non-Atari 2600 games not fitting in the slot to the point where I'm afraid of breaking the cart or the system by pressing too hard. Searching this forum has shown that a few people have had this issue as well, but I haven't found a good suggested solution. Any advice would be appreciated! Dauber
Open the console and cut out that plastic lip, sleeve, whatever that's around the cart port. Just the outer part is all you need to cut out; some folks don't even cut it out but just use an X-acto or other razor to just cut slits in that outer part to make it looser. But I completely cut it out of mine, and it made a world of difference.
VectorGamer
Get a Harmony cart. It fits.

+groundtrooper
Get a Harmony cart. It fits. Not the cheapest solution, but the simplest. It's what I did. LOL.
VectorGamer
Not the cheapest solution, but the simplest. It's what I did. LOL. Cheaper than buying all dem carts. Plus no sodomizing a 7800 required.
+Karl G
Thanks for the suggestions. I do have a Harmony cart, but it wasn't working in the 7800, but was still working in the 2600. The 7800 lives at my girlfriend's house, so I haven't had time to do my troubleshooting yet. She also has a couple hundred 2600 carts, so we will likely go with the console sodomizing route either way.
+-^CrossBow^-
I use a dremel routing bit, and route out the corners about 1/4 inch on all four corners of the cart slot. This allows pretty much all the games to fit and work, with the exception of the tigervision games with the longer posts in them for opening the dust cover slot on the 2600.
