Poison
When I try to run great democollection Bitter Reality from SDRIVE NUXX, boot stop after few seconds with black screen and silent. I tried to find more versions, but it looks, that there is only one hardware I use is atari with U1MB, covox and stereo, qmeg 3,4, VBXE (used different settings and all expansions diasbled - everytime the same result) and Unexpanded atari 130XE (the same result). http://a8.fandal.cz/detail.php?files_id=3504 Are there anyone who can test it with another SDrive ? Or help me with some advice ? Edited May 13, 2018 by Poison
miker
1994, 3-week production (excl. some RZoG parts), preliminary IRQ-loader with TOPDrive/Ultraspeed support. I would recommend running it from SIO2SD (or equivalent). Edited May 13, 2018 by miker
+CharlieChaplin
Hmmm, I do not own an SDrive, but also found out that this demo does not work on an XF drive with Hyper-XF-OS and 3,5" floppy (no matter if using ultraspeed or standard speed). It runs fine on a 1050 with mini Speedy and under Altirra it also runs fine with Happy, US-Doubler and several other floppy speeders, but does not run on the real Hyper-XF (afair, not available under Altirra yet). Luckily I do own several 1050 drives, several SIO2SD's and several SIO2PC's, so it is not a big problem for me. Thanks Miker for giving an explanation why it has problems on some drives (asked also Stefan Dorndorf, but he did not reply). Think there will always be some A8 programs (commercial or PD/Freeware, games, demos, applications) that do not run with certain floppy speeders, with SIO2xx devices, with higher SIO speed, with PBI devices, with certain loaders, with certain Atari or 3rd party OS, etc. and you just have to live with it... I today try to run BR from real Floppy drive XF551, it works perfect. But from SDRIVE with normal floppy drive speed not
a8isa1
I today try to run BR from real Floppy drive XF551, it works perfect. But from SDRIVE with normal floppy drive speed not I've not been able to load any enhanced density disks with SDrive (homebrew). I must have been picking bad ATRs or I had another "senior moment". Please disregard my claim. Sorry. However, Bitter Reality does not work for me. Edited May 14, 2018 by a8isa1
