First Spear
Hey Intellifamily, do we have anyone that can modify a console or components to add some bling? I am thinking about stuff like clear case replacements, strategic LEDs (hmm CPU activity LEDs), Intv II boards transplanted into Apple IIGS computer cases, etc. Imagine an Intellivision luggable, placed into a classic lunchbox style case or even a Mac Classic case with the screen built-in. The mind boggles. Whos got the ability here to do that kind of hardware work? Thanks.
Flojomojo
You've seen the "Ultimate Intellivision Flashback," right?

CharonPDX
Hrm... And the Intellivision II has some early-Macintosh "Snow White" style styling already... I may have to try that with one of my dead Mac SEs now.
CharonPDX
Shoot, I thought of this, came back to edit; but while I was quick enough to be able to click the edit button, by the time I hit "save," the time limit for editing had passed... Attempted Edit to add: No, I have the perfect idea... An Intellivision II plus ECS gutted and stuffed in to an Apple IIc case, with ECS keyboard in place of the IIc keyboard! (Or, if I figure out a way, adapt the existing Apple IIc keyboard to interface with the ECS, but I doubt that's possible.)Now I just need another ECS+keyboard to use, since I don't want to use my only one. I even have a dead Apple IIc to act as the "host" chassis.
First Spear
The Ultimate Flashback is a totally different thing. I am talking about modifying the original hardware so it glows or has other visual effects, or transporting the guys of the cartridge-using system to a completely different case (which would then be modified). You've seen the "Ultimate Intellivision Flashback," right?
Flojomojo
Yes, I get it. Just be careful when transplanting guts of ancient, fragile hardware!!
