MaliciousCarp Posted May 28, 2018 Share Posted May 28, 2018 I couldn't find any topics about this in the forums - I'm hoping that someone has experience with this: The PS2 slim laser seems to burn out frequently. I recently heard about a fix called the matrix PIC fix. My understanding is that it is a pic microcontroller that monitors the communication with the laser. If it detects that the communication has crashed and the laser is stuck on - it shuts down the console. Does anyone here have experience with this mod? Does it actually save your hardware? Can you still buy the kit? My slim has been through 2 lasers so far and while they are cheap at the moment - they won't always be! Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
